This year I discovered that I actually enjoy reading books, as long as they are non-fiction. There is something about reading a story that is written by someone about their own experience that is super intriguing to me. This year I read a book called Positive. This is easily my favorite book so far due to its touching and inspirational story line. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading, you won't be disappointed.
I really enjoy watching sad movies, that doesn't sound like fun but I love movies such as My Sister's Keeper, The Fault in Our Stars, and If I Stay. I don't know what it is about sad movies that draws me to them, but I know I'd pick a sad movie over some fake, sappy love story. Maybe that's why I like them, because sad movies aren't there to make you think that everything will be okay. Love stories give you false hopes and make you believe you'll live happily ever after, but most of the time that isn't true. Sad movies give you a real view of how awful the world can be. Maybe that's why I am drawn to these types of movies, because I no longer believe in the happily ever after, I like the cold, hard truth.
